II. CLASS DESCRIPTIONS AND PRICES
A. ‘Step By Step’ Mini-Classes (90-minutes each ): $ 87 /each Take one or all of them, at your leisure!!
Class 1: ABC’s of Starting a Nonprofit Organization
Class 2: How to staff and fund your Start Up Project/Program
Class 3: How to raise your first $5,000 for your Project or Program
Class 4: How NOT to fish in the Atlantic Ocean for grants: Grants Research 101
Class 5: The TRUTH about funding for small businesses and school grants- Where to REALLY find the $$
Class 6: What you need to know BEFORE YOU SUBMIT YOUR FIRST GRANT APPLICATION
B. Full length Courses: These courses are broken into four or six 90-minute classes. You will receive certification upon completion of each of these courses:
- Funding Your Vision: Where to get Started; While introducing you to the Grants Process, we will discuss how to turn your vision into a fundable program. This class will entail program development, budget development, and partnership campaigning. Each student will leave with an mission statement, program outline, and program summary that can be used to attract partners and/or funders. (Four- 90 minute classes ) $ 145
- Preparing Your Program or Project for Fund-Ability: Ideal for individuals already operating an organization or nonprofit. We will detail the how to research the best funding opportunities; How to respond to a Request for Proposals; and How to create the most fundable budget. Taking an in-depth look at your program or project and access its funding needs, we will teach you how to best communicate them to the funder. Each student will receive an active funding list that best aligns with their organization’s funding needs. (Four- 90 minute classes) $145
- Writing a Competitive Full Proposal: The logic model; The boiler plate; Key components of a competitive private or Federal grant application. Each student will leave with an executive statement and outline for a full proposal that can be used to submit to a Funder. Each student will receive an active funding list that best aligns with their organization’s funding needs. (Six-90 minute classes ) $190
- Housing and Economic Development Project Funding: Identifying state and local funding sources and designing a development plan for affordable housing, workforce development, and community revitalization projects . (Six- 90 minute classes) $190
- Funding the Vision of Faith Based Organizations (Churches): Ministry’ Beyond the Walls’: Formalizing your community outreach programs; Partnership Fundraising Campaigns; Volunteer Coordination. Each participant will gain knowledge of the funds development process specific to faith based organizations. We will explore the costs and benefits of setting up a separate nonprofit (501c3) entity. Time will be spent helping participants to develop a fundable program, executive summary and funding list to be used to attract dollars to their programs/projects. (Six-90-minute classes) $190
